I purchased several of the Stirling Synthetic Shave Brushes for use in my barbershop, and I couldn’t be happier. This is my second shaving brush from Stirling. I wanted to try a larger knot and different handle. The handle fits perfectly in my hand making it a pleasure to use. The large knot makes great lather and covers a lot of territory. You can't beat the price either.

Not sure how a brush this soft can have so much back bone to it, but it does. Super heavy handle, I look forward to trying the Kong next. I would recommend this brush to anyone that prefers a softer brush that can still get the job done!

Why is this brush so good? I dont get it. I had no expectations going in because of the price. I just needed something functional. What i got was my new favorite brush. My only complaint is i wish my face was bigger so i could enjoy this even more

This is a great brush for its price, the knot size is huge which makes getting a good lather so much easier now. It's also a hefty, solid brush so I was definitely impressed with the quality and value.

This is the second Stirling shaving brush I have purchased. The other one being the Kong. Both brushes have a great Knot size, with this one being a little bigger.

But for me it wasn't so much the Knot size of this brush that I like, but the handle. The handle on the Kong brush is shaped differently and I found it to be more difficult to maneuver. I didn't noticed this until I used a shaving brush I got from another company. I liked the handle on that brush and felt that the handle on this brush was similar just from looking at the picture on Stirling's site so I bought this brush. Great brush with a great Knot size.

A big knot that is absolutely soft on the skin. Aside from being great on sensitive areas like my neck, this brush can load up a massive lather, it has backbone, and dries quickly. I love this brush!

I'll acknowledge the elephant in the room immediately..... this brush is ugly. It is by no means a looker. This brush is the epitome of a no frills brush. But what it lacks in looks, it makes up for entirely with comfort. The handle is a behemoth, but it feels absolutely wonderful in the hand and the 26mm plissoft type knot is one of the best knots out there. The grip is the best part about this brush though, not entirely rubber feeling but it has some texture and is very easy to hold onto. If you have no desire to have a "beautiful" brush and you want a workhorse to use as your daily driver, this is definitely the brush for you.

I have a board brush,and it kept losing hair,so I thought I would take a chance on a synthetic brush,I can't believe how much better this is,it's very soft, but it's got the backbone it needs to work up a quick lather...wish I would've known about this sooner.

I finally found a synthetic brush in the world with Backbone! I am ashamed to say this, but...this is turning out to be the only brush I want to use. Super Soft, Great Backbone, and Dry's fast.

Upon opening this brush I was shocked on how big the handle was. I am super excited to use my new brush. The picture does not give justice to how nice this brush is. Worth every penny.

This is actually for the "Kong" brush (which I have had for over a year, and LOVE), but I imagine it would apply to any Stirling brush with similar resin handles:

I was in the garage today making a travel case for my brush (a spent caulking tube fits PERFECTLY), and brought my Kong into the garage with me to eyeball the length I'd need. I put the brush on my bench and started rummaging through a toolbox to get some things when I bumped something that bumped something that bumped my Kong. Horrified, I could only watch as it fell slow-motion towards the cement floor. "This!" I said to myself, "This is why I can't have nice things."

It bounced twice on that cement floor before I could save it from a third 'clack.'

Now, I have recently noticed that this brush and handle no longer appear to be offered on the website, so with much trepidation I went inside to assess the damage. There was, quite literally, none.

No cracks, chips, rough spots... not even a scratch... ANYWHERE. I don't know what kind of supercharged resin you all are using, but the stuff must be bulletproof.

Outstanding brush. Makes great lather and has plenty of soap left over for second and even third passes. Good handle too. Try it with Orange Chill soap and you won't be disappointed.

Just having shaved with it this morning makes for the second time I've used it. Something went wrong the first time-hard to figure. On arrival, it had a rough feel to it, which puzzled me. Thus on the first shave, perhaps I didn't prepare it properly enough(moistening it some prior to the shave, as I do with all my brushes), but I had to use another brush to "finish off" what the Pro Handle began. But I wanted to give it another chance, and I'm so glad I ,because this time it worked just like any normal brush shave. It's a beautiful brush-a delight to have. I don't know what caused the problem for my first use with it, but it certainly is ready to go now. Thank you, Stirling!!

Brush feels soft on the face with just the right backbone. I face lather and the brush works great for this. The handle feels just right in my hand and the design is easy to grip. I would recommend this brush.

Had to by a new brush as my old one was worn. Found this here on Stirling's site and decided to give it a try. Don't regret my purchase. Great price, sturdy brissels, holds water well and haven't lost a brissel yet (10 shaves in). Would definitely buy this brush again.

Absolutely fantastic brush! I love this synthetic fibre. Given the fact that it is a dense 26mm knot the fibre provides more backbone than in a smaller knot. This big brush is now among my top five. And, by the way, there are two more Stirling brushes among my top five. Outstanding value for money.

This brush is everything I hoped it would be. It has great backbone. And no matter which later technique I used, this brush worked great. I would recommend this brush without reservation.

Very nice brush ! I love it because has bone is not very soft. This brush does not need a lot of soaking and is very easy to clean , it is very good quality .

The newer synthetics have a feel on the face much closer to a badger for softness, but have the stiffness of knot that a boar or horse hair brush has. The Sterling Soap's synthetic is no different.

it is a large handled brush with a huge knot, something I really enjoy. The brushed produced a lather in the same amount of time as any other synthetic brush I've tried, and applying to the face was enjoyable due to the quality of the newer synthetic bristles being used.

The 4 star rating is due to handle thickness, while I enjoy it in my hand, it does not fit any of my existing brush holders, requiring me to leave it to dry with the knot facing "up", something I prefer not to do.
