Don’t buy. The smell is ok but the chunky separated dark thick like goo or powder is clogging it every time I go to use it. The oil is all separated. Maybe it’s the soy lecithin? This one is a fail.

In the way where Haverford (modeled after Tobacco Vanille) is 80% vanilla and 20% tobacco, this one feels more 80% tobacco and 20% vanilla/musk. Now I'm curious about blending the two. Anyway, Stirling Gentlemen feels like a less unisex Haverford but the quantity of tobacco could be off putting for some.

As far as a beard oil's conditioning/moisturizing performance, it's as good as any other Stirling beard oil, and about on par with other popular argan and jojoba based oils. It's thick but not greasy. You'll want to comb it in after distributing in the beard by hand to get good coverage.

Obviously the pre-shave oils work great if you've used them before, you know that. But the scent on the Stirling Gentleman is pungent and distinct. Not bad but not great in my opinion.

I use the stuff for beard oil to tame my goat. It only takes a very small amount, and my beard doesn’t feel greasy. The Gentleman scent is fantastic. It is one of my favorites.
